No Fear Friday, Free Printable, #4

I am a total angel girl.  I  love them, believe in them, and also collect them.  I got started collecting them when I was a little girl and my aunt started a tradition where she would give me an angel ornament for Christmas every year.  She still does (thanks Aunt W!) and my Christmas Tree is full of the most beautiful angels from all over the world!  Now that Christmas is near I am particularly in the mood for angels.  Well, I am always in the mood for angels, but now more than ever!  So this week’s No Fear Fridays printable has an angel theme.Happy to share with you: angel

No Fear Fridays, Free Printable, Part 2

Last week we looked at what the super-talented and inspired Kim is doing over at Reposhture. She has created a weekly series called No Fear Fridays where each Friday she focuses on a topic having to do with fear. I am most grateful as these posts have had a very profound effect on me, and are changing my life for the better. I cant wait to see what this week will bring!

Inspired by No fear Fridays and the verses that Kim recommends reading, I created a second No Fear Fridays – Free Printable. I flip through the document to see what jumps out at me. This week, it was a quote from Isiah, “I – I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man who dies? But you have forgotten the Lord, your maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth. -Isiah 51: 12-13. There is more to the passage but I’ll save it for another time. Here is today’s No Fear Friday Free Printable:

Available here as a 5 x 7 color pdf: i am 2

No Fear Fridays – Free Printable

Have you seen what the lovely and talented Kim is doing over at Reposhture?  She has created a weekly series called No Fear Fridays where each Friday she focuses on a topic having to do with fear.  She is taking her blog to the next level and using it to change women’s lives in a very personal way.  It is amazing, really.  Her blog was awesome as it was.  She has a great sense of style and creates beautiful things and does really well in Blogland.  It would be enough for most people but she wanted more.  She wanted to help women.  She wanted to help empower women.  So she started No Fear Fridays.  She listened to her heart and was guided to take a very big risk and start No Fear Fridays.   I am most grateful as these posts have had a very profound effect on me, and are changing my life for the better.  Inspired by No fear Fridays and the verses that Kim recommends reading, I created this No Fear Fridays – Free Printable:

Which is from 2 Chronicles 20:17.   I am happy to share with you at a 5×7 pdf.  You dont have to fight

Enjoy!

Living Redo: Day 45 – Serenity Prayer Printable

Day 45 and we’re done! I made my first ever chalk paint, and painted the top of the dumpster dive dresser that is now the entertainment center. I also finished my chandelier and hung a capiz shell light fixture that I shopped my room for. This is all before and after work! Posts on everything will be coming soon! Back to the Serenity Prayer Printable.

No, this Living Redo didn’t drive me into a twelve step program. But it has been a serious challenge for me in a lot of ways. Big girl stuff. I had to reassess balancing achieving my goals with having a happy life. Before I would have pushed myself and shut everything else out in order to achieve my goal. I took another approach this time and reevaluated things and extended my deadline. It was the right decision and I feel better for it. It was also challenging in the fact that you have to live in the living room and eat in the dining room so I had to work around things and keep tidying up instead of leaving a big mess from project start to finish. And speaking of big messes, when I am in project mode I don’t have the time or energy to clean or do yardwork. So aside from cleaning the bathroom last weekend my place is pretty much a pigsty and that is an insult to pigs everywhere! All of this has left me with such a feeling that everything is so completely out of control that things will never be right again. Hence the Serenity Prayer. It makes me feel so much better; it calms me down and I breathe a big sigh of relief. I decided to make a new printable:

Serenity Prayer

Here is the file I am honored to share with you:Serenity

I am so happy this project is done. I can’t wait to get everything tidied up and to take some good pictures. Now when does the cleaning crew get here? Oh, that’s me? Well, I guess it will be next weekend then!

Keep Calm And ______ On!

Yep. I’ve done it. I’ve fallen for the craze that is all over Blogland. The Keep Calm And Carry On craze, that is! For those who don’t know, Keep Calm And Carry On posters were produced by the British government during World War 2. They were intended to raise the morale of the British public in the event of invasion. So British! Here is a copy of the original:

They were re-discovered and re-printed in 2000 and are now everywhere! Here is my version:

Pretty close, huh? I made this for a friend who is a teacher:

Second one with an apple:

I thought I was being clever when I came up with Keep Calm And Blog on. But has totally been done! In fact, there are blogs by that name! Here is my version:

What I wasn’t able to find were free printables. Found them for sale and for show. Happy to offer them (5 x 7 pdfs) to ‘ya!

Eye Chart Printable and Bookmarks

I have been seeing so many cute eye chart projects and printables out there!  I also have just started reading “I Believe: When What You Believe Matters” by Eldon Taylor.  In the first chapter he recounts the story of the Little Engine That Could, and how important it is to tell yourself “I think I can” instead of “I’ll never make it up that hill”.  This anecdote inspired this artwork:

That I am offering today as a free printable.  ITHINKICAN What I really wanted this for was bookmarks (I think I mentioned before that I can’t get enough of ‘em) so I am happy to offer bookmarks as well! Eyechart bookmark.  Happy day!  Here is a fun little site I ran across that allows you to make your own customized (except for the last line) eyechart: http://www.eyechartmaker.com/index.php

Gratitude

I was inspired by this quote today: “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

I made this printable…

Valentine Bookmark – Free Printable

Looking for a Valentine Bookmark? Look no further!  I love bookmarks! Can’t get enough of ‘em. I keep them in notebooks, journals, to-do list books, magazines, and, of course books! I whipped this one up when I was re-designing my header fo Valentines Day. I thought I would share :) Print a Valentines bookmark! valentine bookmark

Heck, print some Valentine Bookmarks for your friends.  They’re free!  What better was to share the love (minus the calories)?  It seems to me that a Valentines bookmark is a great alternative to a paper valentine that may get tossed or recycled.  Much more eco-friendly!  This file will give you a full sheet of five bookmarks that can be printed on card stock or glossy paper.

You could even laminate them if you wanted to get fancy! Or punch a hole in the top and ad a cute pink (or red, or white, for that matter) ribbon.  Or slide it into a box of conversation hearts.  The possibilities are endless.

Do you know the story of where valentines come from?  The Emperor Claudius believed that Roman men were unwilling to join the army because of their strong attachment to their wives and families so he banned all marriages and engagements in Rome. A priest in Rome named Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine’s actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death. Legend also has it that while in jail, St. Valentine left a farewell note for the jailer’s daughter, who had become his friend, and signed it “From Your Valentine.” Gradually, February 14 (the day he was killed) became a date for exchanging love messages, poems and simple gifts such as flowers.
