Living Room Redo – Day 14: Sea Glass Vase/Candle Holder

Day 14. Two weeks in! I have made progress but there is still so much left to do. Recently I made a sea glass vase/candle holder. I started with a vase that I found in my cupboard at work. It had been washed but still had a ring that wouldn’t come out.

I was thinking it would be cool to glue glass beads up to the line but when I went to the 99 Cent Store, there were no glass beads, but I found sea glass instead. Perfect! I took my E6000 and started gluing so that the pieces fit together in a puzzle-like fashion.

I mixed the colors and sizes and let it dry as I went. It was a little slippery but I worked that to my advantage by using the extended drying time to cover the vase from top to bottom. Done and so pretty all lit up!

  2. Candles are wonderful things that can evoke many moods and enhance many settings. Perhaps you’re planning a romantic dinner for two, or a family Thanksgiving or Christmas gathering. Placing candles on the table adds to your decor and tells your guests that they’re special.^
